The AIRWAYS ATC Simulator
Project, known as Total Control, has been developed in conjunction with
Animation Research Limited (ARL), the Dunedin based company known for
their innovative graphic software solutions for television, particularly
the Americas Cup. Until late 2005 ATC training was completed using
antiquated technology that did not allow a full immersion experience for
trainees. Total Control is a 180 degree computer based visual
masterpiece allowing trainers to place controllers in dynamic
photorealistic environments, controlling fully rendered and animated
